Mnet's 'Produce 48' recording will start at the beginning of this month.

According to multiple broadcast officials on the 1st, 'Produce 48' recently finalized the lineup of participants and has been coordinating the recording date with the Japanese production team for early April. They are working busily with the aim of broadcasting in May.

In this process, a proposal for I.O.I's full group appearance was also made. It is known that proposals were sent to each agency asking if they could appear as special guests at the recording scheduled for the 22nd. There are expectations that we will be able to see a full group stage. Previously, I.O.I had a collaboration stage with AKB48 at the '2017 MAMA'.

'Produce 48' is a Korea-Japan joint project, a collaboration between Korea's 'Produce 101' and Japan's AKB48 system. PD Ahn Joon-young, who is in charge of directing, is rumored to be confident in the success of 'Produce 48' following the successful I.O.I and Wanna One projects. There is much interest in how they will be presented to the public.
