The musical "Xcalibur" has released its casting lineup.

"Xcalibur," EMK Musical Company's (hereinafter EMK) 2019 new production, is

a reinterpretation of the legend of King Arthur, the mythical hero who defended ancient Britain from invasion by the Saxons. It depicts the journey of an ordinary man's transformation into a shining emperor.

Cast as the young Arthur, who possesses innate brilliant charisma and presence,

are Kai, who recently starred in the musical "Phantom"; Kim Junsu, who made a successful return through "Elisabeth" after his discharge; and DK from SEVENTEEN.

Notably, DK has been preparing for his musical debut for the past year, constantly taking vocal lessons with the intention of challenging himself in musicals.

Cast as Lancelot, Arthur's right-hand man, who possesses excellent martial arts skills and an extraordinary spirit,

are Uhm Ki-joon, currently appearing in 'Days'; Lee Ji-hoon, who played Lancelot in the reading workshop held in January; and

Park Kang-hyun, who has been active in recent large-scale musicals such as 'Kinky Boots,' 'The Man Who Laughs,' and 'Elisabeth.'

Cast as Morgana, who seeks to reclaim the throne from her half-brother Arthur, are Shin Young-sook from 'Elisabeth' and Jang Eun-ah, who recently became the 94th King of the Masked Singer on MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' with her tragic emotions and unparalleled high notes, drawing much attention.

Kim Jun-hyun and Son Jun-ho have been cast as the ageless druid sorcerer and prophet,

and Kim So-hyang and Min Kyung-ah have been chosen for the role of Guinevere, who possesses excellent martial arts skills and is brave and intelligent.

Additionally, Park Chul-ho and Cho Won-hee will play Arthur's adoptive father, Hector, who has a kind heart despite his poverty,

and Lee Sang-joon will play the role of King of the Saxons, the ruthless and barbaric pagan, Cerdic.

The creative team includes producer Uhm Hong-hyun, playwright Ivan Menchell, composer Frank Wildhorn, director Stephen Rayne, and stage designer Jung Seung-ho.

"Xcalibur" will premiere on June 15th at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater.
