The music video for 'SOLO' by JENNIE, a member of the group BLACKPINK, has surpassed 300 million views on YouTube.

With this, JENNIE has become the first Korean female solo artist to reach 300 million views.

Around 4 AM today (14th), the music video for JENNIE's first solo song 'SOLO', which was posted on BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel,

exceeded 300 million views within six months of its release.

YG Entertainment shared the happy news with fans by releasing a specially produced poster through their official blog.

JENNIE, who was the first runner in BLACKPINK's solo project, released 'SOLO' on November 12th last year.

The music video surpassed 100 million views in just 23 days after its release, setting a new record for the shortest time for a Korean female solo artist.

Continuing this momentum, she achieved the feat of consecutively surpassing 200 million and 300 million views as the first Korean female solo artist, in 90 days and 182 days respectively.

Previously, on the 11th, BLACKPINK's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' music video surpassed 800 million views,

setting the record for the highest number of views ever for a K-pop group. Following this, JENNIE is continuing her record-breaking streak with the best performance by a female solo artist.

BLACKPINK, the group JENNIE belongs to, has achieved over 100 million views for all eight of their music videos released since their debut, including 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' (800 million views), 'As If It's Your Last' and 'BOOMBAYAH' (500 million views),

'KILL THIS LOVE', 'PLAYING WITH FIRE', 'WHISTLE', and 'SOLO' (300 million views), and 'STAY' (100 million views).

Notably, each music video continues to be loved, and with the view counts constantly changing, further record-breaking is expected.

In addition, BLACKPINK is proving the passionate interest of fans worldwide with their choreography videos also reaching 'hundreds of millions of views'.

'DDU-DU DDU-DU' has reached 200 million views, while 'As If It's Your Last', 'BOOMBAYAH', 'SOLO CHOREOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION', and 'PLAYING WITH FIRE' have achieved 100 million views.
