The group name for C9 Entertainment's new 5-member boy group, C9BOYZ (tentative name), which WANNAONE's Bae Jinyoung is scheduled to join, has been confirmed as CIX (pronounced C-I-X), and they are set to officially begin their journey towards debut.

On the 21st, C9 Entertainment dramatically changed the official SNS name of C9BOYZ to CIX, and through these accounts, released a leader film featuring the official group name and logo. 

The leader film, approximately 40 seconds long, begins with a single ray of light on a black screen. As light shines from the left, the phrase "Luceat lux tua" appears. This Latin phrase means "May your light shine.".

The light soon transforms into a straight pillar, and the surroundings change to a background reminiscent of outer space. When a black cat appears, circular stairs emerge around the pillar, and the odd-eyed cat stands at the top of the stairs, gazing at a brilliantly shining star.

Afterward, electricity sequentially lights up "CIX" amidst spark noises, completing the phrase "Complete in X". As a flash of light appears and a compass-like shape spins, the official logo focusing on "CIX" is revealed, further amplifying the debut mood.

A representative from the agency stated, "CIX is an abbreviation for Complete in X. It carries the meaning of 'completion of the unknown,' signifying that the group will only be complete when the five unknown members come together.".

CIX, the first boy group to be introduced by C9 Entertainment, revealed Bae Jinyoung as the first member upon opening their official SNS in February. Subsequently, members Seunghun, Hyunsuk, Yonghee, and BX were sequentially unveiled, confirming the group as a 5-member boy group.

Their debut is anticipated in the second half of this year.
