Kang Daniel began preparing to establish his one-person agency immediately after the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 51 fully accepted his 'preliminary injunction to suspend exclusive contract' filed in March, granting him the ability to conduct independent activities separate from LM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as LM) on the 10th of last month.

Early this year, Kang Daniel determined that continuing his contract with his former agency, LM, was difficult due to exclusive contract violations and entered into a legal dispute.

The court's decision on the preliminary injunction suspended the validity of the exclusive contract with LM, allowing Kang Daniel to engage in entertainment activities independently of LM.

The court ruled that LM's transfer of most of its rights under the exclusive contract with Kang Daniel to a third party without Kang Daniel's consent on January 28, 2019, was not only a breach of the exclusive contract but also an act that undermined the trust relationship forming the basis of the exclusive contract, reaching a point where maintaining the exclusive contract relationship was difficult.

Consequently, the court issued a preliminary injunction suspending the validity of the exclusive contract between LM and Kang Daniel, prohibiting LM from demanding contract negotiations and executions related to Kang Daniel's various entertainment activities, and from interfering with his entertainment activities.

Kang Daniel plans to confirm his solo debut date in the near future and release details about his debut project.

Kang Daniel, a former member of the group Wanna One, concluded his group activities in January and had been planning for solo activities.

Even with the delay in his solo debut, he continues to receive immense love, ranking first for 62 consecutive weeks on the Idol Chart rating rankings.
