Top star couple Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will proceed with divorce proceedings after approximately two years of marriage.

On the 26th, Song Joong-ki filed for divorce mediation through his legal representative at the Seoul Family Court.

Song Joong-ki also released a statement through his agency Blossom Entertainment:

"I have proceeded with divorce mediation proceedings with Song Hye-kyo," he stated, adding, "I apologize for delivering bad news to so many people who have loved and supported me.".
