Song Joong-ki will play the role of Tae-ho, the pilot of the 'Space Sweepers' who will do anything for money but is always penniless.

Song Joong-ki previously worked with director Jo on the film 'A Werewolf Boy' (2012).

They will reunite after 7 years in 'Space Sweepers'.

'Space Sweepers' also features Kim Tae-ri, Jin Sun-kyu, and Yoo Hae-jin in its cast.

Kim Tae-ri will play the captain who leads the 'Space Sweepers' with a strong grip on space, and Jin Sun-kyu will portray Tiger Park, the ruthless yet charming fixer of the 'Space Sweepers'.

Yoo Hae-jin is scheduled to perform motion capture and voice acting for a robot, a first in Korea.

Previously, Song Joong-ki announced his divorce from Song Hye-kyo on the 27th of last month through his legal representative and agency.

Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, who played opposite each other in 'Descendants of the Sun', developed a romantic relationship and married on October 31, 2017, but divorced after 1 year and 8 months. The two have agreed to the divorce and are in the final stages of adjustment.
