Girl group A-pink's Bomi and MAMAMOO's Solar will serve as ambassadors for '2019 MGMA,' to be held on August 1st at 7 PM at the Olympic Park KSPO DOME.

The '2019 M2 X GENIE MUSIC AWARDS (hereinafter referred to as 2019 MGMA),' hosted by online music site Genie Music and K-pop digital channel M2,

announced on the 22nd, "We have selected Bomi and Solar, who are actively engaged as singers and creators, as ambassadors." 

The two are showing remarkable activity as professional singers and influential content creators.

Bomi has been running the YouTube channel 'PomPomPom' for over a year, and is loved for her content covering genres from 'eating broadcasts (mukbang)' to beauty, cooking, and ASMR. 

Similarly, Solar opened the YouTube channel 'Solarsido' in February and is experimenting with various content.

'2019 MGMA' aims to be a 2019-style music awards ceremony that fuses the current trends of listening to, watching, and sharing music, under the slogan 'Play MGMA.' 

They chose the two as ambassadors because they believed that individuals who enjoy music in original ways and create and showcase their own content could properly convey the concept and meaning of the awards ceremony.

Currently, voting for each category is underway on the Genie Music website, and voting for the Global Popularity Award is also ongoing on Mwave.
