SM Entertainment's new unit "SuperM" has finally been unveiled.

Lee Soo-man, General Producer of SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM), announced at a presentation held in Los Angeles, USA on the 7th that a new group called "SuperM" will debut.

Previously, SM had stated, "We will make an official announcement on the 8th" regarding reports that they would launch a new group combining members from their popular existing groups. This group is "SuperM".

SuperM is SM's super-large group composed of SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Kai and Baekhyun, and NCT's Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas.

In particular, SuperM is drawing attention as a super-large group unprecedented in K-POP.

The fact that SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Kai and Baekhyun, who already have global fans in their respective top K-POP groups, and NCT's Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas, who are drawing attention as next-generation icons, will be active in one group is highly unusual.

SuperM is a project with overseas markets in mind. They are scheduled to officially debut in the US this October, and whether they will promote in Korea is yet to be determined.
