SHINee's Onew and EXO's Xiumin will appear in the Army musical "The Promise of the Day." 

According to a news report by a sports newspaper on the 26th, SHINee's Onew and EXO's Xiumin have confirmed their appearance in the Army's newly unveiled original musical "The Promise of the Day." 

"The Promise of the Day" is an Army original musical that follows the 2008 musical "The Devil" for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the military, "Voyage of Life" in 2010, "The Promise" in 2013, and "Shinheung Military Academy" in 2018. 

The work is based on the excavation of the remains of combat heroes who sacrificed themselves to defend the country during the Korean War, and it is expected to be a box office success, following the critically acclaimed "Shinheung Military Academy" this year with its dynamic direction and touching story.

Onew and Xiumin passed the auditions and are currently focusing on rehearsals. 

As they are loved by fans worldwide as members of SHINee and EXO, "The Promise of the Day," in which they have confirmed their appearance, is also expected to garner keen interest from the audience. 

Furthermore, another media outlet reported on the same day that Yoon Jisung, a former member of Wanna One who is currently serving in the Army, has also been cast in "The Promise of the Day." 

Yoon Jisung, who debuted as a member of Wanna One through the 2017 Mnet variety show 'Produce 101,' successfully launched his solo career earlier this year.

In February, he expanded his reach to the musical stage through the musical 'The Days,' where he received acclaim for his stable acting and singing skills.

The original musical "The Promise of the Day" will be performed at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park, Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, from October 22 to December 1.
