    Actors Jung Woo-sung and Lee Hanee have been selected as the hosts for the opening ceremony of the 24th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

     

    Jung Woo-sung and Lee Hanee will host the opening ceremony on October 3rd at 7 PM at the Outdoor Theater of the Busan Cinema Center.

    Jung Woo-sung, who is celebrating his 25th year since his debut this year, debuted in 1994 with the film 'The Fox with Nine Tails' and rose to stardom as a teen idol through the movie 'Beat' (1997), gaining immense popularity. 

    Since then, he has actively engaged in acting through films such as 'A Moment to Remember' (2004), 'The Good, the Bad, the Weird' (2008), 'Asura: The City of Madness' (2016), and 'Steel Rain' (2017), as well as dramas like 'Athena: Goddess of War' (2010) and 'Padam Padam' (2011). 

    In his latest film 'Innocent Witness' (2019), he played the role of lawyer 'Sun-ho' and received the Grand Prize for Film at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards and the Grand Prize for Acting at the 39th Korea Gold Camera Awards for his truthful performance. 

     

    After debuting as Miss Korea in 2006, Lee Hanee has built a solid filmography by taking on diverse genres and characters in dramas such as 'Shark' (2013) and 'Modern Farmer' (2014), and films like 'The Flu' (2012), 'Tazza: The Hidden Card' (2014), and 'I Can Speak' (2017). 

     

    The 24th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will be held from October 3rd to October 12th. A total of 303 films from 85 countries have been invited.
