Woojin, a member of the group StrayKids, has decided to leave the group.

On October 28, his agency JYP Entertainment announced via StrayKids' official SNS, "Woojin, who has been active as a member of StrayKids, will be leaving the group due to personal reasons and terminating his exclusive contract. We apologize to all the fans for the concern caused by this sudden news."

The announcement continued, "As a result, the release date of StrayKids' mini-album, originally scheduled for November 25, has been postponed to December 9. We ask for your warm encouragement for Woojin as he embarks on a new path, and for the StrayKids members as they set out again towards their dreams."

StrayKids officially debuted on March 26, 2018, after going through JYP Entertainment's new vocal group reality show "StrayKids" broadcast in 2017. They were active as a nine-member group, but with Woojin's departure, they will now continue as an eight-member group.
