Singer IU has shown her loyalty to the manager she shared hardships and joys with, like family.
IU announced that she has signed an exclusive contract with EDAM Entertainment, newly established by her manager who has been with her since her debut in 2008.
Known as a representative of loyalty for maintaining warm friendships with fans, colleagues, and staff she has worked with, IU decided on this exclusive contract with EDAM Entertainment based on the trust built with her manager of 12 years. Notably, other staff members who have been with IU at Kakao M will also be moving to EDAM Entertainment, planning to join IU in her new beginning.
IU has solidified her presence as an "Artist IU" by expanding her activities beyond music, including album releases, domestic and international concert tours, and producing, to dramas and films, always challenging herself with new endeavors. She plans to showcase more active and diverse performances at her new company.
Following last year's drama "Hotel Del Luna," IU released a new album and recently returned after successfully concluding her Asian tour. She continues her vigorous activities, with news of her joining director Lee Byung-hun's new film "Dream."
