Kim Yo-han, formerly of group X1, will take on his first acting challenge in "School 2020."

On the 4th, his agency OUI Entertainment announced, "Kim Yo-han has decided to appear in KBS2's new mini-series 'School 2020.'"

"School 2020" is part of the youth drama "School" series, which began in 1999, and depicts the raw lives of high school students on the verge of entering society. It is expected to resonate with many by touching on various topics and the struggles of youth, no different from ordinary students.

In the drama, Kim Yo-han will play Kim Tae-jin, a taekwondo athlete who won a bronze medal at the National Sports Festival as a junior player. However, after his father's business failed, he suffered a career-ending ankle injury, quit sports, and decided to go to college. He is an 18-year-old high school student who acts mature due to his experiences but still retains the innocence of a boy who doesn't know what to do in front of the girl he likes.

In reality, Kim Yo-han has a background as a reserve national taekwondo athlete. He was a promising prospect, having won the National Junior Championships and the National Sports Festival twice. Expectations are high for his ability to embody the character, given his high degree of synchronization with the role.

The "School" drama series has been called a "star launching pad," with many actors like Gong Yoo, Lee Dong-wook, Kim Rae-won, and Kim Woo-bin rising to fame after appearing in it.
