BTS will halt their world tour due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and instead, will heal fans' hearts with a documentary series of their past tour, "LOVE YOURSELF".
On the 28th, BTS released the trailer for their documentary series "BREAK THE SILENCE: DOCU-SERIES" through the community platform "Weverse", which captures the spectacular stages of their world tour and their passion for performing.
This documentary series is BTS's third documentary, chronicling their 351-day world tour journey from the "LOVE YOURSELF" Asia tour in November 2018 to the "LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF" Seoul final concert in 2019.
Previously, BTS has shared their growth process through constant effort on and off stage during their world tours in two documentaries, "BURN THE STAGE" and "BRING THE SOUL", which featured their concerts in Seoul, North America, and Europe during the "WINGS" and "LOVE YOURSELF" tours.
In this "BREAK THE SILENCE: DOCU-SERIES", the 7 members will vividly portray the driving force that has kept them together, their stories about each other, and the dazzling moments created with fans worldwide during their stadium tours. Viewers will be able to witness not only their spectacular stage presence but also their casual, everyday lives behind the scenes, and their heartfelt honest thoughts towards their fans.
The series, consisting of 7 episodes, will be exclusively released through Weverse. Starting with the simultaneous release of episodes 1 and 2 at 9 PM on May 12th, subsequent episodes will be released every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 PM until May 28th.
On the 28th, BTS announced that they would be completely rescheduling their world tour concert "MAP OF TEH SOUL TOUR" due to the impact of COVID-19. Their agency, BigHit Entertainment, announced, "We have decided to temporarily suspend the entire tour schedule and establish a new schedule in the future."
For fans who were greatly disappointed by the temporary suspension of the world tour, the documentary is expected to be a welcome gift.
