At the press conference for the Netflix movie "Space Sweepers," held online on the morning of the 2nd, Song Joong-ki said,

"I heard about "Space Sweepers" from Director Jo Sung-hee 10 years ago when we were filming 'A Werewolf Boy'", recalling the time.

He continued, "I vaguely thought it was interesting, but when they gave me the script, I felt like I had to do it. Even though the content has changed, it was shocking and fresh back then."

He then revealed the reason for working with Director Jo Sung-hee again.

In particular, he said, "The character Tae-ho, whom I play, ends up living an even more ridiculous life after meeting the crew of Space Sweepers."

"The director has never given me a cool role. He's a twisted character, covered in dirt and oil. But his inner self is pure. That's why I like the director's works," he said with a smile.

"Space Sweepers" depicts the story of the crew of Space Sweepers in 2092, who discover a humanoid robot Dorothy, known as a weapon of mass destruction, and then jump into a dangerous deal.

Director Jo Sung-hee, who directed "A Werewolf Boy" and "Detective Hong Gil-dong: The Vanishing Village," has teamed up with Song Joong-ki once again.

It will be released on Netflix on February 5.
