The world's largest K-culture convention, "KCON," expanded online as "KCON:TACT," will introduce K-culture to Hallyu fans worldwide through its third season, "KCON:TACT 3."

Entertainment & lifestyle company CJ ENM announced on the 16th that "KCON:TACT 3" will be held from March 20th to 28th.

Launched in 2012, "KCON" has been held 24 times in countries such as the United States, France, Australia, Mexico, and Japan, attracting a cumulative offline audience of 1.1 million and establishing itself as a representative Hallyu convention event.

Last year, due to the impact of COVID-19, it expanded online, holding the digital platform "KCON:TACT" twice, and engaged in new activities with 60 K-pop artists and 8.45 million K-culture fans worldwide.

CJ ENM plans to continue the "KCON:TACT" boom this year by holding "KCON:TACT 3" next month, showcasing the present and future of K-pop.

"KCON:TACT 3" will feature newly created customized content based on proven regional popularity factors and fan characteristics from KCON.

Popular content from KCON in the U.S. and Japan, such as local influencer workshops and fan meeting programs, will visit fans in optimized time zones and languages for each region.

Concert stages incorporating Mnet's differentiated directing capabilities will also be prepared to maximize the offline presence between artists and fans.

"KCON:TACT 3" will adopt a "World Tour Concept" from the opening stage to the special ending stage, creating a narrative that runs through the entire concert.

By virtually recreating the venues of previous offline KCONs using technology, the plan is to evoke the feeling of going on a world tour with K-pop artists.

Differentiation will also be achieved through various collaboration stages and fan stages.

Spin-off shows showcasing the diverse musicality of K-pop artists are also in preparation.

The goal is to widely introduce the diverse sides of artists that fans have not had many opportunities to see before to fans around the world.

The Meet&Greet, which focuses on communication with fans, will offer a more diverse range of experiences.

Content will be developed that is suitable for the digital environment, such as fans directly participating in theme-based content as if they were artists, inviting artists to relaxed sets for conversations, and sharing music that artists enjoy listening to with fans, maximizing vicarious satisfaction for fans.

This extensively expanded "KCON:TACT 3" is preparing to make K-culture content more accessible to fans by utilizing regional platforms.

Overseas fans can participate through the YouTube KCON official and Mnet K-POP channels.

    A CJ ENM representative stated,

"The ability to meet a variety of artists leading the present and future of K-pop all at once is a major strength of 'KCON:TACT 3.'

In a time when meeting overseas fans in person has become difficult, we are preparing diverse content to provide an experience similar to an offline event.

We will continue to actively work towards the global spread of K-pop, transcending time and space."
