In 2006, it was adapted into a drama by Korea's MBC TV, achieving a maximum viewership rating of 27% and propelling the cast, including Joo Ji-hoon, Yoon Eun-hye, and Song Ji-hyo, to stardom. It was later remade into a musical and performed in Korea and Japan.

In Korea, it is currently being serialized again as a webtoon, and a long-run performance of the musical is being promoted.
