【Seoul Yonhap News】 The cumulative number of domestic viewers for the South Korean film "Mogadishu" (original title), distributed by Lotte Entertainment, surpassed 3 million on the 29th, according to the company. This is the first film released in South Korea this year to exceed 3 million viewers.

　The cumulative number of viewers reached approximately 3,013,000 on the morning of the 29th, the 33rd day since its release. "Mogadishu" not only surpassed the 3 million viewer mark but also overtook the popular American film "Black Widow" (cumulative approximately 2,958,000 viewers), which had the highest audience numbers in South Korea this year.

　The film, based on a true story, is the latest work by director Ryoo Seung-wan. It depicts the escape of staff from the South Korean embassy and the North Korean embassy who were isolated in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, in 1991, when a civil war broke out.
