Jinyoung, a member of the group GOT7, has been cast as the lead in director Kim Sung-soo's new film "Christmas Carol."

The movie tells the story of an older twin brother who voluntarily enters a juvenile detention center to avenge the death of his younger twin brother.

It depicts realistic action and psychological thriller brought about by a revenge drama unfolding in an unavoidable juvenile detention center.

It is based on the novel of the same name by writer Joo Won-gyu, who also wrote "The Cruel History of the Exception" and "Made in Gangnam."

Jinyoung will play the dual roles of the twin brothers Joo Il-woo and Joo Wol-woo.

Jinyoung stated, "I have both anticipation and pressure as filming approaches.

As it is a work based on an original novel, I want to do my utmost to express the characters well."

This year, it was also selected for the Busan Asian Project Market (APM).
