Project group Wanna One will reunite at the "2021 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS" (hereinafter "2021 MAMA").

Mnet announced on the 15th that Wanna One will appear as a full group at the "2021 MAMA" to be held on December 11th and present a special performance.

This will be Wanna One's first reunion in approximately three years since their activities ended in January 2019. Last year, there were talks of Wanna One reuniting, but they were ultimately canceled after discussions.

The "2021 MAMA" side stated, "Wanna One, who played a role in promoting K-pop to the world by setting various domestic and international music records during their activities, will begin preparing a special performance to excite music fans."

Wanna One, formed through Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 2" in 2017, recorded a million-seller with their debut album and sold out all seats for their debut showcase at the Gocheok Sky Dome. During their year and a half of activities, they won approximately 100 trophies from various music programs and awards ceremonies. They then embarked on a world tour performing for 350,000 fans in 14 cities worldwide, including 8 shows at the Gocheok Sky Dome, setting new records at every moment.

Meanwhile, "2021 MAMA" has appointed singer Lee Hyori as the first-ever female host in MAMA history. The event plans to showcase a performance with the concept of "MAKESOM NOISE," aiming to allow everyone to experience the powerful force of music that transcends barriers of country, race, and generation through the language of K-pop, fostering mutual respect and a sense of global unity. Along with Wanna One, the crew from Mnet's "Street Woman Fighter" will also participate and present a special stage.
