The international relief and development NGO World Share (Chairman Park Hyun-mo) announced on the 14th that Japanese fans of SHINee member Onew donated a well to Cambodia.

This well donation was carried out by "So Amazing ONEW's BD Project JP," a group of Onew's Japanese fans, to commemorate his 33rd birthday and 10th anniversary of his debut in Japan, with over 70 fans participating. Onew's Japanese fans have been celebrating his birthday with well donations since 2017, and have been sharing for five years, leading the way in mature fan culture and the spread of sharing.

A fan who participated in the sharing said, "I am very proud of SHINee, who has worked passionately for a long time and given us great strength. We continue to sponsor wells every year to help areas and people in need, just as we have received love. I hope clean water will help the health and lives of people as we live in a society that coexists with COVID-19."

The well donated by the fans is planned to be built at a school in Cambodia, and it will be used as an important source of drinking water for students and residents of the surrounding areas.

Group SHINee made a comeback with their 7th album "Don't call me" this year, followed by their 7th album "Atlantis," showcasing their wonderful performances to fans both domestically and internationally.

Member Onew, who celebrated his birthday, recently released the duet song "Way" with Punch through SM "STATION," garnering global attention by topping the iTunes Top Song chart in 10 regions worldwide.

World Share is an international relief NGO that is actively engaged in activities such as children's group homes, 1:1 child sponsorship, drinking water improvement projects, emergency relief, and dispatching overseas volunteer groups in over 30 countries worldwide. Details can be found on the World Share website.
