The host city for the 2030 World Expo will be decided by a vote of BIE member states at the General Assembly in November next year, following multiple presentations at the BIE General Assembly.

BTS plans to hold a concert in Busan to pray for the successful bid.

If BIE officials visit Busan early next year, BTS members plan to personally guide them around Busan and play a role as promotional ambassadors during the presentation at the BIE General Assembly. They will convey a message calling for support for Busan at the General Assembly where the vote to decide the host city will take place.

BTS will also actively cooperate in shooting digital PR photos and videos for the World Expo bid and disseminating promotional videos through official social networking services (SNS).

Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, and CEO Park Ji-won attended the agreement signing ceremony on this day.

Bang described the bid for the 2030 World Expo as a nationally important project and stated, "We will do our utmost with BTS to ensure the bid is successful."

He added, "We will also strive for the development of regional popular culture, including Busan City and K-Culture, through this World Expo bid." HYBE and the city also agreed to explore participation in cultural projects undertaken by the city for the construction of cultural infrastructure and promotion of culture in Busan.

Mayor Park expressed his deep gratitude to all BTS members and HYBE for readily accepting the role of promotional ambassadors for the World Expo bid, stating, "The activities of BTS members will be an immensely powerful force for the bid."
