The group TWICE has re-signed with JYP Entertainment.
On the 12th, JYP announced, "TWICE has completed re-signing contracts with all members ahead of their exclusive contract expiration this autumn."
Along with this, they explained, "TWICE played a decisive role in establishing K-pop entertainment company JYP's position, and JYP has been a strong support for TWICE's growth into a representative K-pop girl group. Based on this trust, they have agreed to re-sign, confident in a more developed future."
Through this re-signing, TWICE will once again carry on their strong bond and loyalty with JYP.
Specifically, TWICE decided to re-sign with JYP based on the solid trust relationship among the members, and JYP plans to provide full support for TWICE's growth.
Debuting in October 2015, TWICE has established themselves as a representative K-pop girl group by setting numerous domestic and international records, including winning grand prizes at various music awards, surpassing 10 million cumulative album sales in Korea and Japan, being the first overseas artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome in the shortest period after debut, achieving 3rd place on the Billboard 200 with their 3rd full album, and holding the most music videos with over 100 million views among global girl groups (20 videos).
This year, during the Americas leg of their 4th world tour, "TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR," they held the first North American stadium concert by a K-pop girl group, selling out all seats for 9 performances across 5 US cities and attracting 150,000 attendees.
