[News, Reporter Kim Myung-mi] Music entertainment powerhouse JTBC is set to unveil a global music show, 'K-909'.
Scheduled to premiere in early September, JTBC's 'K-909' is a global music show for fans worldwide who love K-POP. At a time when diverse music platforms are overflowing more than ever, it was planned to provide a dream stage for artists and music that fans can trust and enjoy.
On August 1st, the 'K-909' team released a graphic teaser video via YouTube. The video showcased the 'K-909' logo, created by flipping the letters of K-POP, signaling the start of a new chapter where the infinite expansion of K-POP, which has turned the world upside down, will unfold.
'K-909' will create stages that showcase the diverse musical worlds of artists, such as premiere performances of tracks, special collaborations, and unique arrangements. Furthermore, they plan to produce documentary-style videos that capture the efforts and contemplation of artists as they prepare for these performances, ensuring their sincerity is fully conveyed to fans.
The production team stated, "We felt it was a pity that artists' stages were short and fleeting, lasting less than 3 minutes, and we wanted to create a space where K-POP singers could be fully spotlighted as artists," adding, "We aim to be a differentiated music program where every precious stage of K-POP artists, who have become the center of the global music market, stands out."
