The poster features a spectator gazing at the sea under a clear sky. It represents the Busan International Film Festival, known as the "Sea of Cinema," and the audience facing each other, expressing the excitement of returning to normalcy for the first time in three years since the pandemic.

The Busan International Film Festival also explained that the person in the poster looking at the festival's logo symbolizes all film professionals, including the audience, guests who visit the festival, and industry officials.

Choi Soon-dae, Art Director of the Busan International Film Festival and President of the Busan Modern Visual Design Association, created the poster for the second consecutive year.

The Busan International Film Festival stated, "Just like the message conveyed by the official poster, we hope that this year will be a more vibrant and rich film festival where audiences and film professionals can gather together," adding, "We will prepare for the normal operation of this year's festival while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines to ensure it becomes a festival that everyone can enjoy safely."

The Busan International Film Festival also released the poster for the "17th Asian Contents & Film Market" (ACFM).

Meanwhile, this year's film festival will be held for 10 days from October 5th to 14th around the Busan Cinema Center. During this period, it will resume program sections that were not held due to the COVID-19 situation, such as "Midnight Passion," as well as support projects like the Asian Cinema Fund, Platform Busan, Forum BIFF, and the newly returned "CHANEL x BIFF Asian Film Academy" in partnership with Chanel.
