Girl group EXID has reunited to commemorate their 10th anniversary since debut.
According to Sony Music on the 9th, EXID will present their 10th-anniversary special broadcast "WEAREEXID" on the 13th. August 13th marks the day EXID celebrates their 10th anniversary, and the broadcast will be aired on Naver's internet streaming service, "NAVER NOW".
In a teaser video released on NAVER NOW at 6 PM on the 8th, EXID announced that they would showcase various content, including a nostalgic conversation looking back on the past 10 years and live performances, through "WEAREEXID". Prior to this, the members also piqued fans' curiosity by posting photos of themselves gathered as a full group on their personal social media accounts, each accompanied by a single letter and a cryptic emoji.
Immediately after the posts, fans identified that the letters spelled out EXID's fandom name, "LEGGO", and comments speculating on the meaning of the emojis are still continuing to this day.
Debuting on August 13, 2012, EXID is a girl group consisting of five members: Solji, LE, Hani, Hyelin, and Jeonghwa. With their signature song "UP&DOWN", released in 2014, they became a hot topic on social media two months after its release, achieving an unprecedented "climbing the charts" miracle and rising to stardom. "UP&DOWN" is considered the primary contributor to EXID's success and the starting point of the "fancam" craze.
"WEAREEXID" is significant in that the members, who are currently active under different agencies, are coming together. EXID shared that they plan to present various content for their fans, starting with this special broadcast. In particular, as Hani recently made headlines by announcing her relationship with Yang Jae-woong, who is 10 years her senior, her appearance on this broadcast is expected to draw even more curiosity.
