The group KARA will take the stage at '2022 MAMA'.
Returning as a full group for the first time in 7 years, KARA will unveil their new song performance at the '2022 MAMA AWARDS', held at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on November 29th. On the same day, KARA will release their 15th-anniversary album, 'MOVE AGAIN'.
KARA is an artist that played a key role in the K-POP boom by releasing numerous mega-hit songs such as 'Mister', 'Jumping', 'STEP', and 'Lupin', and holds the major records of reaching No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and being the first girl group to hold a solo concert at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
'2022 MAMA AWARDS' previously announced its first lineup of performing artists including Stray Kids, ITZY, TXT, JO1, TREASURE, ENHYPEN, IVE, and Kep1er, followed by a second lineup including Hyolyn, ZICO, Lim Young-woong, Forestella, (G)I-DLE, BIBI, NiziU, INI, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, and the 'Street Man Fighter' dance crews, signaling a massive gathering of popular artists. KARA's addition to the lineup is expected to further heighten the anticipation of global K-POP fans.
Meanwhile, CJ ENM has rebranded the 'Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS' to 'MAMA AWARDS' in line with changes in the global music market, such as the expansion of K-POP's influence from Asia to the rest of the world. The '2022 MAMA AWARDS', the first to be held after the rebranding, will take place over two days from November 29th to 30th at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan and will be broadcast live online worldwide.
