
Singer and actor Park Ji-hoon has been cast as the lead in the KBS2 drama "Love Song for Illusion".
According to multiple broadcasting officials on the 3rd, Park Ji-hoon was recently offered a role in "Love Song for Illusion" and is currently coordinating his schedule with the production team.
"Love Song for Illusion" is a fantasy historical romance about a man with two conflicting personalities and the woman who loves him, oscillating between innocent love and fierce obsession. Based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Ban Ji-woon, the drama is highly anticipated as the next "Love in the Moonlight".
Park Ji-hoon will play the character who possesses two conflicting personalities: Sajo Hyun and Ak-hee. He is expected to portray both a man who learns the reason to live after truly falling in love with a woman, and a man who believes his long-standing obsession and jealousy are true love.
A former child actor, Park Ji-hoon has performed on stage as a singer through activities with the group Wanna One, while simultaneously building his career as an actor through works such as the JTBC drama "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency" (2019) and the Kakao TV series "Love Revolution" (2020). In particular, he received critical acclaim for the "rediscovery of Park Ji-hoon" in the Wavve original series "Weak Hero Class 1" released last year.
