will be broadcast live simultaneously on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4, and digitally streamed on TikTok."

As the only comprehensive arts awards ceremony in the country covering TV, film, and theater, the Baeksang Arts Awards

prioritizes professionalism and fairness, selecting nominees (works) through a rigorous judging process. 

To incorporate diverse voices, a preliminary survey of 60 industry expert evaluators was conducted,

and judges for each category, commissioned through recommendations from expert groups representing TV, film, and theater, determined the final nominees after an intense judging process.

This year's judging covers content provided on terrestrial, general programming, cable, OTT, and web platforms from April 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023,

as well as Korean feature films released domestically and plays performed during the same period.

For the TV category, content provided on terrestrial, general programming, cable, OTT, and web platforms must be at least four episodes long,

and in the case of series, only works that have aired at least one-third of their total episodes as of the judging date are included.

However, works that were excluded due to the timing of last year's judging period are classified as eligible for this year's judging.

The film category also targets Korean feature films released domestically during the same period.

Directors who debuted with a feature film during the judging period are eligible for the Best New Director award.

For both TV and film categories, the criteria for the Best New Actor/Actress award is based on having appeared in three or fewer works in lead or supporting roles within each category, regardless of the debut year.

The theater category follows the same judging period, and awards the Best Young Theater Award, Best Acting Award, and Baeksang Theater Award.

Furthermore, the nominees by category for the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards are scheduled to be announced on the official website on the 7th.
