[Biz World] The Korea Tourism Organization has unveiled 51 representative Hallyu tourism courses for Hallyu fans worldwide, introducing major Hallyu-themed tourist destinations such as K-pop, drama, and film shooting locations in a course format.

The 51 representative courses introduce over 200 Hallyu tourist destinations across six themes: K-pop, Hallyu stars, dramas, variety shows, movies, and K-content.

These include places that any Hallyu fan would be interested in, such as K-pop music video filming locations known for their stunning visuals, popular drama filming sites like "Vincenzo" and "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," and location tours from movies.

In addition, it introduces experiences that Hallyu fans can enjoy, such as popular variety show filming locations and the Euljiro street food stalls. Detailed information and images of the tourist destinations included in the 51 selections can be checked and utilized at the organization's Korea Tourism Content Lab.

Furthermore, 14 courses carefully selected from the 51 have been produced as a guidebook titled "Hallyu Wiki." This guidebook for individual tourists (FIT) consists of two parts: a Seoul & Metropolitan area edition (7 courses) and a regional edition (7 courses).

The Korean-language guidebook can be viewed as an e-book on the organization's 'Visit Korea' website and app, and the guidebooks in three other languages—English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)—are scheduled to be released around mid-March.

Kim Dong-il, Director of the Hallyu Content Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "We expect the 51 representative courses to be helpful for the travel industry in commercializing Hallyu tourism," adding, "As air travel normalizes and the number of Hallyu fans visiting Korea is on the rise, we will continue to discover and promote diverse courses so that Hallyu content can lead to actual visits to Korea."
