The two protagonists are set up to know each other's "dark history" better than anyone else due to the connection that their mothers are friends.

Kim Ji-eun plays Jung Mo-eum, a passionate 119 emergency responder and friend to Bae Seok-ryu and Choi Seung-hyo, while Yun Ji-on plays Kang Dan-ho, a reporter with strong convictions and a sense of responsibility.

"Love Next Door" is directed by Yoo Je-won and written by Shin Ha-eun, the team behind the 2021 drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha," which recorded high viewership ratings in the 12% range.
