UNIS, a girl group formed from the South Korean terrestrial broadcaster SBS's audition program "UNIVERSE TICKET," held a showcase event for their first mini-album "WE UNIS" in Seoul on the 27th and officially debuted. UNIS is an 8-member multinational group consisting of Jin Hyeon-ju, Nana, Gehlee Dangca, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia, Oh Yun-a, and Lim Seo-won, including two Japanese and two Filipino members.
Leader Jin Hyeon-ju said, "Many memories, such as competing on UNIVERSE TICKET and the moment I was chosen as a member of UNIS, are flashing back like a revolving lantern," and added that she wants to respond to the support with wonderful performances.
Bang Yun-ha introduced the group by saying, "UNIS is an abbreviation for 'U and I Story,' which means that we will write our story together, starting from 'UNIVERSE TICKET'," and added, "Like our group name, we want to show you songs and stages filled with our stories."
"WE UNIS" is an album that expresses the various emotions of young girls under the theme of "Your and my story, your and my beginning." It contains a total of 5 tracks, including the title song "SUPERWOMAN."
