"Queen of Tears," starring Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won, has surpassed the record of "Crash Landing on You," rewriting the history of tvN's highest-rated drama.
According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating research company, on the 29th, the 16th episode of the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama "Queen of Tears" (written by Park Ji-eun/directed by Jang Young-woo, Kim Hee-won), which aired on the 28th, recorded 24.850% (based on nationwide paid households), marking its own highest viewership rating.
Initially, the #1 highest-rated tvN drama of all time was "Crash Landing on You." "Crash Landing on You" concluded with an average rating of 21.683% for its final episode, holding the record for the highest viewership in tvN drama history. For over four years, no work had appeared to break the record set by "Crash Landing on You."
However, "Queen of Tears" has now set a new record, surpassing the #1 spot previously held by "Crash Landing on You" by a significant margin of 3.0 percentage points.
