The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 13th that approximately 250 Japanese fans visited Jeju Island in the south the previous day to participate in "plogging" (an activity of picking up trash while jogging) with SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, a unit consisting of Donghae and Eunhyuk from the boy group SUPER JUNIOR.

In March of this year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization launched a new tourism product that combines a fan meeting for SUPER JUNIOR-D&E with environmental beautification activities on Jeju Island.

Participants gathered at Iho Tewoo Beach, a popular swimming spot, and engaged in plogging along the shore. After handing out souvenirs to the participants, SUPER JUNIOR-D&E held a fan meeting.

A representative from the Korea Tourism Organization explained that this tourism product is a departure from typical fan meetings centered on talk shows and concerts, and is instead "ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) tourism" that leverages the influence of Hallyu stars. They stated that they intend to continue developing products that meet the diverse needs of foreign tourists and contribute to achieving the goal of attracting 20 million visitors to Korea this year.
