South Korean entertainment conglomerate HYBE announced on the 14th that KATSEYE, a global girl group formed in collaboration with Geffen Records under Universal Music Group (UMG), will debut on the 28th with the release of their first single.

KATSEYE will accelerate their activities by releasing a second single next month and a mini-album in August.

HYBE stated, "KATSEYE will show fans everything they have prepared so far and begin a new journey together."

KATSEYE is a six-member girl group formed through the global audition program "The Debut: Dream Academy," which aired from September to November last year. After overcoming a 6,000-to-1 competition rate, the six members selected were Daniela (USA), Lara (USA), Manon (Switzerland), Megan (USA), Sophia (Philippines), and Yoonchae (South Korea).

During the 90-day audition, the members participated in missions evaluating dance, vocals, teamwork, concept execution, and artistry, undergoing training to become global stars.

The fan community app, Weverse, has reached 300,000 subscribers, drawing interest from K-POP fans worldwide.
