The globally anticipated Netflix original series “Squid Game 2” has finally unveiled its veil.
Netflix announced on the 1st (Korean time) that it has released the teaser poster, trailer, and press stills for “Squid Game 2.”
“Squid Game 2” depicts the intense confrontation between “Gi-hun” (Lee Jung-jae), who returns to participate in the game after vowing revenge, and the “Front Man” (Lee Byung-hun) who welcomes him, as well as the real game that begins once again.
The teaser poster features “Gi-hun” and the “Front Man” standing at opposite poles. Lee Jung-jae, playing Gi-hun, who has put on the green tracksuit once again to become “No. 456” and join the game, and Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man, who has revealed his face from behind the mask. It sparks curiosity about what kind of narrative the two will create.
The trailer raises expectations by announcing a new rule: unlike in Season 1, a vote will be held after each game to decide whether or not to continue. How the “Red Light, Green Light” game, which garnered much attention in Season 1, will be implemented in Season 2 is also one of the key points to watch.
The press stills include appearances by Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun, as well as Gong Yoo, who appeared as the “Ddakji man” in Season 1. Fans are excited to see what roles the new additions to Season 2, such as Im Si-wan, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, and Jo Yu-ri, will play.
“Squid Game 2” will be released on December 26 via Netflix.
