EMK Musical Company announced on the 15th that Park Eun-tae, Lee Seok-hoon, Kyuhyun, and Doyoung have been cast in the role of "Gwynplaine," a sensual young man who works as a performer in a traveling troupe while bearing an indelible smile.

While Park Eun-tae, Lee Seok-hoon, and Kyuhyun have played this role before, this is Doyoung's first time.

Seo Beom-seok and Min Young-ki have been cast as "Ursus," a misanthrope who hates humanity but raises Gwynplaine and Dea with genuine affection.

Lee Soo-bin and Jang Hye-rin will star as "Dea," who cannot see but looks at Gwynplaine with her soul and cherishes him.

Kim So-hyang and Lisa will play "Josiana," the queen's half-sister and a wealthy aristocrat who has everything but harbors emptiness beneath the surface.

This work is based on the original novel by world-renowned literary giant Victor Hugo, who himself cited it as "the greatest work I have ever written," and is set in 17th-century England, a time of intense class discrimination.

Through the life of Gwynplaine, who has the face of a terrifying monster but hides a pure heart, the work criticizes a society where social justice and humanity have collapsed, and deeply illuminates the values of human dignity and equality.

The 4th season will be performed at the Seoul Arts Center Opera House for approximately three months starting January 9th of next year.
