JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) has been ranked 3rd globally and 1st domestically in the "World's Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025" list selected by TIME magazine.
U.S. weekly magazine TIME and German market analysis firm Statista announced the "World's Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025" on November 27 (local time).
According to the report, JYP Entertainment ranked 3rd globally among all companies and 1st in South Korea in the Technology, Media & Services sector with a score of 93.66. It garnered particular attention as the only company in the Asian region to be included in the Top 10.
The "World's Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2025" ranking selects 500 companies worldwide that demonstrate excellent achievements in sustainable development while maintaining strong financial health.
TIME and Statista determined the final rankings by aggregating revenue growth, financial stability, and environmental impact with equal weighting (based on a 100-point scale).
German market analysis firm Statista stated the reason for this score, noting, "JYP Entertainment achieved high scores in all areas: revenue growth rate, financial stability, and sustainability. In particular, its eco-friendly energy usage is extremely high, placing it in the top 5% of companies based on carbon emissions. It is rare for a company to achieve such results across all categories."
JYP was recognized for its active ESG management, having received an "AA" rating—the highest among domestic K-pop entertainment companies—in the "2023 MSCI" ESG evaluation. Furthermore, in 2022, it became the first domestic entertainment company to publish a sustainability management report documenting its ESG promotion efforts and activities, leading the way toward a sustainable future.
In June of this year, the company published its third sustainability management report, disclosing the results of its "Double Materiality" assessment and implementation activities, which consider both the impact of corporate management activities on the environment and society, and the impact of sustainability issues on the company's financial aspects.
According to the report, JYP practices human rights management to respect and fulfill its responsibilities toward all stakeholders who may be affected throughout its business operations, and has dedicated efforts to protecting life and safety in accordance with its safety and health organization and management policies.
JYP CEO Jung Wook stated, "JYP is consistently continuing activities that create a positive impact on society. The third sustainability management report contains the achievements and efforts of JYP to create a sustainable world together with all stakeholders, including artists, trainees, employees, fans, and partners."
Meanwhile, led by J.Y. Park, JYP and its artists are giving back the love they have received to society. Under the vision of "EDM (Every Dream Matters!)", the company conducts social contribution activities such as the "EDM Medical Expense Support Project," "EDM Volunteer Activities," and the "Love Earth Project" to support children's dreams and build a foundation for a healthy life.
