The biggest goal of this trip to Korea, part 1!!
The concert of the legend H.O.T. [High-five Of Teenagers]!!
The legendary group that changed the history of Korean music! And the group that made me a K-POP fan!

Apparently, there were no proper idol groups in Korea before H.O.T. H.O.T. debuted in '96 and enjoyed overwhelming popularity, leading the era as the first generation of idols.
Although H.O.T. is not well-known in Japan, they are the seniors of groups like TVXQ!, SHINee, and EXO, who are popular in Japan now.

And these legends reunited this year after 17 years!!
H.O.T. had already disbanded by the time I became a fan. After 15 years, I never thought I'd be able to go to their concert! And in Korea, no less! It's like a dream.
I couldn't sleep for days because I was so happy lol ・
As expected of legends, I lined up for 3.5 hours to buy merchandise, but almost everything was sold out. Some people were apparently lining up since the day before...
But I was happy to get the white penlight I wanted~
With my penlight and raincoat, it was time to go!!

H.O.T. Concert
Leader Hee-jun is hilarious. I can’t understand what he’s saying, but when Hee-jun starts talking, the members and fans all burst into laughter. He’s a true entertainer.
Hee-jun’s voice is so beautiful when he sings ballads. I’d dreamed of hearing his live singing someday, and I finally got to hear it.

I didn’t like rap much before. But after hearing Woo-hyuk’s rap, I thought, “Rap is cool!” for the first time. Now I like rap. And Woo-hyuk’s dancing! He’s so good and really cool. His pink hair was cute.

Tony is sensitive and kind. He was crying during the concert. I also love Tony’s ballads sung in his slightly low, husky voice. His English rap is cool too.

Main vocalist Kangta has incredible singing ability. His stable performance and soulful voice are amazing. Kangta’s solo stage was so wonderful~
・
The youngest, Jae-won’s solo stage was so cool~ He even sang songs from his jtL days, which was so moving. It made me want to know more about Jae-won.

H.O.T. Concert
My favorite H.O.T. song, “Hope.”
This song, also sung at the end of SMTOWN concerts, was written and composed by Kangta.
They sang my beloved “Hope” with the fans multiple times during the encore.
When the members hugged each other at the end, I was so moved that I almost cried.
