CJ LiveCity Arena is being developed by CJ ENM Group, a major South Korean content conglomerate. A super-large performance facility will be constructed on a site of 326,400 square meters (approximately 100,000 pyeong), featuring an indoor arena (20,000 seats) and an outdoor space capable of accommodating 40,000 people. Completion is scheduled for 2024.

　The master plan and architectural design for the arena will be handled by Foster + Partners, a renowned British architectural firm that also worked on Apple's new headquarters and the British Museum in London.

　In addition to K-pop performances, the venue is expected to host international music awards ceremonies and performances by top global artists. Plans are in place to collaborate with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), a major US entertainment company, for stage equipment, sound, and lighting.

　On this day, along with the arena's groundbreaking ceremony, a vision for a "K-Content Experiential Complex" was also announced. The vision is to create a space where people worldwide can experience Korea's representative content, including music, movies, dramas, and variety shows, both online and offline.

　Shin Hyung-kwan, CEO of CJ LiveCity, a subsidiary of CJ ENM, stated his ambition: "We want to etch a new page in the history of inbound Hallyu, where people from all over the world can visit Korea and enjoy Korean content. We aim to create a new Hallyu hub and a mecca for K-content that Hallyu fans worldwide will visit."
