Starting at 9 AM today, the corporation will remove quarantine-related facilities such as local government quarantine information booths and waiting/isolation areas for overseas arrivals, which were set up in the arrivals lobbies of Terminals 1 and 2.
Staff providing guidance on quarantine transportation will also be withdrawn, and COVID-19 related signage will be removed. Unmanned ticket machines for public transportation will resume operation.
Previously, overseas arrivals were prohibited from using public transportation and had to use private cars or quarantine taxis. However, starting today, they are allowed to use public transportation.
However, some facilities, such as booths for checking travelers' vaccination status, will remain in place.
Meanwhile, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) has lifted the designation of all countries subject to quarantine exemption for inbound travelers. As of the 1st, individuals who have completed their vaccinations will no longer need to self-quarantine regardless of their country of origin.
