This summer, a surge in demand for tourism to Japan is expected.

According to Korean travel agency Interpark Tour, bookings for Japan travel from the 16th to the 22nd, when Japan announced its relaxed entry regulations, showed a 139% increase compared to the previous week (9th-14th). By region, Narita increased by 173%, Osaka (Kansai) by 163%, Haneda by 123%, and Fukuoka by 52%. During the same period, TMON's sales of Japan flight tickets also increased by 72%, with flights to Narita accounting for about 70% of all bookings.

Major travel agencies are already preparing related products. Hana Tour, Mode Tour, and Lotte Tour Development are offering charter flights to Hokkaido, and Chamchoeun Travel has resumed sales of travel products, assuming the normalization of air routes, for the first time in about three years.

According to Incheon International Airport Corporation, Air Busan will launch new regular flights on the Incheon-Tokyo (Narita) route on the 25th and on the Incheon-Osaka (Kansai) route on the 27th.

The travel industry expects demand for travel to Japan to normalize from mid-July if tourist visas and visa exemptions are resumed. Japan is preparing to resume accepting foreign tourists, with plans to accept them from next month after implementing infection control measures for group tourists within this month.
