A tourist version of the "Climate Card," which allows unlimited use of public transportation such as buses and subways in Seoul, South Korea, will be launched in July.

The city plans to sell 1-day, 2-day, 3-day, 5-day, and 7-day passes so that both domestic and international tourists can use the Climate Card. A city official stated, "We will offer them at prices that feel affordable from the perspective of public transport users. We are preparing a system that is easy for foreign tourists to use." The 5-day pass is expected to cost around 20,000 won (approximately 2,300 yen).

Currently, foreign tourists visiting Seoul must either purchase and top up a "Tmoney card" or buy the "Mpass," a Tmoney card exclusively for foreigners, to use public transportation. Mpass can only be paid for in cash, and a 1-day pass costs 15,000 won.

Single-use transport cards can also be purchased at subway ticket machines, but payment is only possible in cash, and the card must be inserted into a "deposit refund machine" at the destination station to receive a refund of the deposit (500 won).
