The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 26th that it will implement special traffic measures to ensure citizens can safely watch the military parade taking place on October 1st, "Armed Forces Day."

Marking the 76th anniversary of the founding of the military, this parade, hosted by the Ministry of National Defense, will feature approximately 5,000 troops and about 300 pieces of equipment marching along Sejong-daero from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on October 1st, which has been designated as a temporary holiday.

The police will impose traffic restrictions on roads around Gwanghwamun where the parade will take place, and 269 bus routes passing through this section are scheduled to be detoured or operate at reduced speeds.

To prevent crowd-related accidents, exits 2 and 9 of Gwanghwamun Subway Station will be closed from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Yoon Jong-jang, Head of the Urban Transportation Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "We will do our best to manage traffic conditions to ensure safe viewing for citizens and minimize inconvenience in movement," and urged people to use the subway instead of private cars.
